Mr. Schwartz counsels clients in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright and related matters. This typically includes initial review of inventions, performing patent searches, preparing patent applications, filing and prosecuting patent applications in the United States as well as in foreign countries, including Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications and European Patent Office (EPO) applications, counseling in the areas of licensing and promoting patents as well as asserting and enforcing patent rights as well as defending patent actions in litigation.
Likewise, Mr. Schwartz assists clients in selecting and searching trademarks and service marks, performing trademark searches and clearances, filing and prosecuting trademark applications in the United States as well as foreign countries, including Madrid Protocol and Community Trademark (CTM) applications. Mr. Schwartz represents clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) in inter-parties proceedings (Opposition and Cancellation proceedings), counsels in licensing of trademarks, asserting and enforcing trademark rights and defending trademark actions in litigation.
Mr. Schwartz has litigation experience in Federal District Courts, including the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, State of Florida courts, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington D.C. and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Schwartz represents domain name owners in disputes before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center in Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings.

A Florida native, Robert was born in Daytona Beach where he attended Seabreeze Sr. High School. He has a passion for cycling (Road Bike), participating annually in the MS 150 fight against Multiple Sclerosis, the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), a 192 mile event across the state of Massachusetts, and enjoying the sportsmanship of various fundraising initiatives. An active member of his community, Robert served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Temple Sinai of North Dade, and sits on the Board of Trustees of the Yaeger Foundation. Robert served as a Co-Chair in the 2nd Annual Oxford Style Debate, hosted by the Jewish Federation of Broward County’s Business & Professionals Division. He is also a frequent guest lecturer in Florida International University’s (FIU) Executive MBA program on intellectual property matters. His commitment to family, friends and his firm are complimented by his infectious positive attitude about life.
