The boutique law Firm of Robert M. Schwartz, P.A. was founded in 1989, by Robert M. Schwartz. The Firm currently has offices in Miami (close to Aventura, Hollywood and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida). The Firm limits its practice to Intellectual Property, namely patent, trademark, copyright and related matters including litigation in State and Federal Courts and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) in the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

From the beginning, the Firm established itself as one of the premier boutique patent, trademark and copyright Firms in South Florida. During this time, the Firm attained its prestigious AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, which it still retains.

The Firm’s Senior Partner is board certified as an expert in intellectual property law (Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization) and was a charter member of the South Florida Patent Law Association (now Intellectual Property Law Association of Florida), and is a former member of national intellectual property organizations including the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). Robert M. Schwartz is a registered patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Patent and trademark attorney Robert M. Schwartz counsels clients in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright and related matters. This typically includes initial review of inventions, performing patent searches, preparing patent applications, filing and prosecuting patent applications in the United States as well as in foreign countries, including Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications and European Patent Office (EPO) applications, counseling in the areas of licensing and promoting patents as well as asserting and enforcing patent, trademark and/or copyright rights as well as defending patent, trademark and/or copyright actions in litigation. Further including: the world wide web (Internet), protecting domain names, content on web sites, and counseling of proper legal notice and terms and conditions for web sites. The Firm handles Uniform Dispute Resolution Proceedings (UDRP) before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). In addition, the Firm provides litigation support to other firms in the areas of patent, trademark and copyright matters and provides mediation services for Intellectual Property (IP) disputes.

In 2026 the Firm relocated next to the Brightline train station in Aventura, Florida to be convenient for clients to visit the Firm’s offices using the high speed Brightline trains. For the previous 24 years, the Firm had been located on Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood Florida.
